Bitfenix whipped around an email today detailing their next case based on the Prodigy line – this time we get the Prodigy M. Based on the same size as the Prodigy, this is an upgrade from the mini-ITX version (which both Justin and I own) such that you can fit a micro-ATX motherboard into it, and perhaps enjoy dual GPU gaming.
It obviously looks like a tight squeeze, depending on how you arrange coolers and fans. There are some give and takes – putting in a DVD drive cancels out the second GPU option, and the odd location of the PSU means that BitFenix will bundle in a connector so users can route the power supply through. Along with the normal SofTouch and Flexi handles, we have support for up to four 3.5″ drives or five 2.5″ drives. Again, there is some give and take as to what you can have.
The pre-order price for the Prodigy M is currently at £70, and set to be released in October. The mini-ITX Prodigy is still available, in a range of colours, for £70 from Amazon.co.uk.
