EVGA are more historically known for their graphics cards and motherboards, but they have dabbled in power supplies for a couple of years. While the general assumption is that these are re-brands from OEMs, EVGA want to improve the experience and the package for users, and it continues with the newest member of the line-up – the SuperNOVA 1000 P2. This is a 1000W, 80 PLUS Platinum certified PSU, rated with an efficiency of 92% under most loads (more on 240V supply).
Along with the efficiency, the power supply is a single rail design with an ‘ECO Intelligent Thermal Control Fan’, a double layer main transformer, Japanese Chemi-Con solid state capacitors and a fully modular design. The PSU comes with six 6+2-pin PCIe, two 6-pin PCIe, ten SATA, five molex and a floppy connector.
This power supply is available today from EVGA at $220 US or 200 Euro.
