Today with the new update for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Points will now be converted to real currency.
Announced back at E3 in May 2013, during the Xbox One announcements Microsoft revealed that they were switching away from their pre-paid points system in favour of the the real money system ala Sony.
Any existing points on all Xbox Live accounts will be exchanged for slightly more than their average worth. (800 MSP converts to £6.80, 1200 MSP to £10.20).
Does this mean the end for the deals everyone looked out for when buying pre-paid cards, or will Microsoft still release cards for shops to sell around the RRP. This may be the end of Xbox Live Arcade/DLC bargains.
